This is a factory replacement rotor from MSD. Rotors should be checked often for play by taking the magneto out and twisting the gear and rotor in opposite directions. If movement is felt and cannot be fixed by tightening the rotor bolt, then the unit should be replaced. This replacement rotor is injection molded from Dupont Rynite material for high voltage isolation characteristics with heavy duty construction. The rotor features a brass/stainless steel rotor tip plus has a lock screw for secure mounting to the Mag’s shaft.

Note: Make sure to turn magneto by hand with cap installed after replacing rotor to check for clearance issues.
